Altered Attic FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

When Will My Order Arrive?

Most orders ship within 24-48 hours via USPS with tracking and generally arrive to you within 3-7 business days for orders shipped within the USA.  Please note that shipping and delivery times can occasionally be impacted by factors such as Sundays and Federal Holidays when USPS is closed, inclement weather, and technology downtime. 

Altered Attic offers worldwide international shipping.  For these orders, international shipping rates and delivery times apply and will vary depending on the international location.  International customers are responsible for any applicable customs or import taxes related to their order.  International shipments should generally arrive within 7-14 business days, but may take as long as 21-30 business days depending on multiple factors, such as USPS volume, inclement weather, customs delays, or issues with delivery address.

What Is Your Return Policy? 

Altered Attic Return/Refund/Exchange Policy

Returns are accepted within 30 days of the date of purchase. If it has been greater than 30 days since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the original/unused condition that you received it and must also be in the original packaging.

Return Shipping: 
Please contact us at with your return request. A prepaid shipping label will be e-mailed to you for your convenience, and the return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and advising you of the status and/or amount of your refund.

Any approved refund amount will be processed and credit applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 7 business days.

Late or missing refunds: 
If it has been greater than 7 business days since you received your refund notification e-mail, and you have not yet received your refund, please contact us at for prompt assistance.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange a damaged or defective item, please send us an email at with photos so we may assist you with an exchange.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift card or promo code will be provided for you.

Can I Cancel My Order?

You may cancel your order if it has not yet shipped.  Please contact us at with your cancellation request as soon as possible for assistance processing your cancellation.  If your order has already shipped, it will need to be processed as a return instead of a cancellation.   

Can I Request A Custom Size, Quantity, or Material for an Item?

Yes.  Custom requests can be made by contacting us at  Please provide details on the size, quantity, and material you are requesting and how soon you would like to receive the custom order along with your general location (city and state within the USA or country if outside of the USA).  You will receive an e-mail reply with a specific quote for your custom order.  If you would like to place the order, simply reply to the e-mail, and a custom listing in the shop will be created for you.  Once created, you will receive an e-mail with a link to your custom item allowing you to add it to your cart for purchase.  Please note that custom items can take a bit longer to ship and an estimated ship time will be provided to you in your quote.  

Where Can I Find Your Privacy and Terms of Use Policies?

You can access Altered Attic's Privacy and Terms of Use at the very bottom of the checkout page.  Please note that you can only get to the checkout page via the checkout button when there is at least one item in your cart.
